CONVENIENTLY LOCATED, GETTING TO MORETON IS EASY.
Finding Moreton
Moreton House is situated on the west side of Bideford (the little white town), on the Torridge estuary in North Devon. It lies on the road to Abbotsham village, close to Westward Ho! and Appledore, and within easy reach of the beaches of Croyde and Saunton, idyllic Lundy island with its puffins and seals, historical villages such as Clovelly and Torrington, the stunning scenery of Dartmoor and Exmoor, beautiful gardens at Rosemoor and the dramatic coastline and estate at Hartland. Just an hour's drive will have you on the south coast or way down into Cornwall, yet in less than 4 hours you can be in London.

Moreton House is easy to reach by road. We are just off the A39, the main Atlantic highway, which runs through north Devon and north Cornwall.
Leave the M5 at Tiverton, junction 27, and take the A361 to Barnstaple, where it becomes the A39. Follow the A39 over the Torridge Bridge at Bideford towards Bude, and look for the Abbotsham (and Big Sheep) turning just past the Bideford and Westward Ho! exits. Almost immediately after the exit, take the right turn at the T-junction onto Abbotsham Road, back towards Bideford. Moreton House is the third driveway on the right hand side about half a mile along Abbotsham Road. Turn at Moreton Lodge, the old gatehouse and follow the drive to the end.

The closest railway station is Barnstaple (11 miles), but total journey time can be quicker if you alight at Tiverton Parkway, and continue by road (1 hour, 46 miles).

Bristol International Airport is 2 hours away via the M5, and Exeter Airport (mostly Flybe) is 1 hour 20 mins drive.
